This is a seminar on How to Write & Publish your Book – And Why you Should! that I once presented at the Healing with Horse Symposium in Arizona. I figure it’s a good idea share it here because I know that a lot of my readers own their own business, or work in the healing arts.
And if you’ve already had a book published by a mainstream (or specialist) publishing company, yet failed to earn any money from that book, then you really need to watch this video!
Grab a notebook and pen to take notes as this is a serious step-by-step tutorial on exactly how to write, format, edit, design and publish your own book and I give you a bunch of resources (to make it easier)
Resources mentioned in this video:
Freelancers for hire:
Audacity voice recording and editing app for your computer
Printing & Publishing:
CreateSpace.com has now moved to the Amazon KDP platform – it is still free. Kindle book, or printed book (print one at a time as book is ordered on Amazon)
48 Hour Books – book printer with easy quote calculator, small print runs welcome.
Thompson Shore printer – for spiral bound or hardcover, larger (1000+ copies) print run.
The video is pretty self-explanatory, but if you have any questions, or want to share any tips, just leave them below!
Jini Patel Thompson is a natural health writer and Lazer Tapping instructor. She began riding at age 2 in Kenya, and got her first horse at age 8 in Alberta, and so continues a life-long journey and love affair with these amazing creatures.
Hi Jini ~ Very near the end of this tutorial, you mentioned using PowerPoint; but the conversation was taken away to a description of Leonie Dawson’s business, and then commercial photo providers; and I am wondering what you had intended to say about PowerPoint.
Hi Colleen – sorry for the confusion. My point was that Leonie Dawson uses PowerPoint to create her eBooks – which can be very simple. Then you export the PowerPoint as a PDF and that’s your eBook! There’s a module or two in Listen To Your Freedom that tells you exactly how to do this – just contact Justin if you run into any snags 🙂
