Winter Feeding & Thanks for Donating!

Thanks to everyone who donated to buy the horses extra hay this winter! I show you how we feed out the big bales and manage 10 horses at the same time. My friend Cody is helping me, then Zo and Montaro decide to give him a little energy movement lesson.

We are sure needing every bit of hay this winter, as there is almost nothing left on the pastures to forage. We’ve had very little snow this winter, but we just had some rain, so hopefully we won’t be in for our fourth drought year in a row this coming summer!

But I will buy all their hay early this summer (for next winter), right after the first cut when prices are cheapest, just in case.

Huge thank-you again to all who donated. I know times are tough and I so appreciate your generosity – much love from the Singing Horse Herd and me.

I leave you with this photo of the 4 lambs playing King of the Castle on a hay bale. Mama Sage (the white sheep in front) had the two little twins. And you can see which lamb was born 3 weeks earlier than the others!
