The Divine Mother – Love Bath from my Horse

In this video, my big Belgian mare Audelina gives me an experience of what it’s like to receive LOVE from Divine Mother energy. Aude invites me to join her in meditation and then tells me I have a ‘mother wound’. After the experience, I call my friend Jenny Andrews over to tell her about it, because we have discussed this before. I want Jenny to sit with me and Aude, to feel into what was shared, and I wonder if perhaps Aude will share this love with Jenny at some point.

This Divine Mother love has a very specific quality… which I describe in the video…

Imagine if we could embody and provide this kind of love container for our own children, or children we work with, or teach?

Imagine how our wounded souls could heal and transform upon experiencing this kind of Divine/Devi love…

“We are all floating in the effulgence of one scintillating unseen cosmic energy called the ‘Devi’. The Devi or the Divine Mother is the womb of all creation. She is the seed of all dynamism, radiance, beauty, equanimity, peace and nourishment. She is the life force energy.

A mother has total love for her child. The Divine Mother has unconditional and unquantifiable love for Her children which includes every being in this entire creation.” – Bhanumathi Narasimhan, Devi – The Various names and forms of Divine Mother

Aude is this huge, powerful horse. She literally stops people in their tracks when they look at her. Then she comes over and love pours out of her eyes and she smooches them. Super strong, powerful, fierce and equally loving, open-hearted and gorgeous. She will usually fix your hair for you – make it more bouffant, give it some height, helping a girl out ya know.

I am blessed to learn at the feet of such a marvel.

Jini this really hit a chord with me. Thank you for allowing us to share your experience with Aude. I find mare’s like Aude are so grounding. I had an Arab mare for 30 years who was with me from her birth to her passing. She too had that wisdom that she shared and radiated and then in an instant would say now that’s enough. Get on with it. I have my mare Spirit who is much the same. She once stood next to me and held space for me when I was struggling with my emotions and listened to what I had to say. After I stopped talking she swung her head around the back of my head, pulled me in and hugged me with her head and neck. Then it was like ok now move on from this. It’s beautiful and it’s lasting and I am so honoured to be thought worthy by my horses of this beautiful unconditional love and acceptance.

My mother is long gone but she too was absent due to the fact that my oldest sister was killed in a freak car accident by a drunk driver when I was not yet two years old. My sister was 17. Our family was forever altered and to this day there is more healing to be done. My mother just couldn’t be the mother she needed to be for us but in her own way loved us very much. Jini like you, I have searched for that feeling of unconditional love and looked for it in others. I wished I had been born to native Indians so that I could be embraced by the grandmothers of a tribe. I had no grandparents either. They had all passed before I was born.

This really opens up a lot for me in a good way to tell me I must not close up but rather open to the possibilities of giving unconditional love to those who need it most. I need to be more patient and understanding of others. I need to feel the pain, listen to the message that it provides and then move on.

    Thank you so much.
Love to you and your herd

I LOVE THIS Jocelyn!! I simply love your take-aways from this experience. And yes, the simple, but oh so powerful act of HEARING another’s story – while energetically holding a container/space of compassion and unconditional love for that person and the story. My grandparents died young and it’s so wonderful to witness my parents with my kids – and my parents have matured, grown, mellowed so much that they have such beautiful connections with my kids. It’s a blessing for sure. Your mares are your community though – best elders you could have, better than humans for sure 🙂 And I don’t think any human can match the unconditional love of an animal – they are truly our inspiration and our mentors. We are so blessed 🙂

I love this video so much. I also have a “mama wound” and Aude’s lesson helped heal me today, even as time and distance separates us. I think it is amazing that your posts and videos are opening up something in me, like there is residual energy in the pixels themselves. I feel so calm and centred. Thank you!
