You may remember that a while back we ran a contest, asking for your feedback on the album cover of Kesia Nagata’s debut album, Looking For Horses?
Well, as promised, we took all your names:
and put them into a bowl and my son, Hugo, drew the winner:
Sheryl Brown of Healing Horse in San Diego!
YAY!! Congrats Sheryl!
The album artwork is almost finished – just a few font tweaks left – and it is currently being mastered by Don Grossinger; who did Tracy Chapmans albums! Since Kesia’s music is in that same Crossover-Folk genre, we think he’ll do an awesome job.
As soon as it’s ready, Sheryl will receive her prize. But remember, you can still get it at the super cheap pre-order price ($7) and it’s so good it’s hard to choose a favorite out of the 12 songs on the album. Here is the final cover design:
If you haven’t heard Kesia’s music yet, what are you waiting for?! Head on over to have a listen and get a free download song you can add to your iPhone or mp3 player.
Here’s what my husband Ian thinks of Kesia’s album:
“Thailand beach music – you’re sitting on the beach in Thailand at night, no lights, only candlelight, you’ve got a beer by your side and you’re looking at the water. You’re listening to Kesia’s music.”
Here’s what the owner of Blue Frog Studios said:
“I can see myself listening to this music as dawn breaks, with a cup of coffee in my hand – just that stillness before the day rolls in.”
Jini Patel Thompson is a natural health writer and Lazer Tapping instructor. She began riding at age 2 in Kenya, and got her first horse at age 8 in Alberta, and so continues a life-long journey and love affair with these amazing creatures.
Yeah! I am so excited to win! What an unexpected surprise to wake up to this morning! Thank you!
Yay! We’re so glad you won too! I’ll be in touch when the album is ready to get a mailing address from you xox
